Emerging in 2019 from St. Clair Shores, Michigan, Aqua Monkey blends rock, alternative rock and grunge into a genre-defying sound. Born out of Detroit’s gritty heart and raised on the raw sound of the 1990s, Aqua Monkey is a five-piece rock band that blends the angst, attitude, and authenticity of grunge with the energy and melody of alternative rock. In the early chaos of 2019, when the world went quiet, Aqua Monkey turned up the volume. Born in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, during the height of the COVID-19 lockdowns, Aqua Monkey began as a small spark of hope and sound in a silent world.
